Each boy who is invited to represent their City in the Almere Tournament in Holland is asked to raise a minimum of £50 in Sponsorship money towards the overall cost of the trip.
Last season's tour cost £400 per boy all inclusive (this included flights, accomodation, all transport and all meals for the boys for the weekend).
Possible fundraising events that could be organised are:
Race Night: (used last season and raised £830 plus a £500 match for match courtesy of Barclays Bank).
50/50 Football Raffle: If used at games these could raise £20 a game if 40 tickets of team names can be sold. The winning team name is hidden underneath the top card.
Bag Packing: Most Superstores (Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury) allow bag packs to take place during weekend opening hours. This could raise in excess of £500 on a good day.
First Goal Tickets: Get people to sign up to a square on a piece of card that has a hidden first goal underneath it. The winner of the 1st goal takes half the money.
Bonus Ball: Find 49 people to play the National Lottery Bonus Ball on a Saturday and offer £25 prize money. The club banks £24 a week. |
